Passenger counts are carried out at nine centres throughout the West Midlands. Separate counts are undertaken for bus, rail and Metro, which are carried out by Centro. Automatic Traffic Counters commissioned by the Districts are used to monitor the number of cars and private vehicles crossing the centres cordon.
Centres Surveyed are Brierley Hill (April) Solihull (Sept) Coventry (Oct) Birmingham (Nov) West Bromwich (March) Sutton Coldfield (Sept) Wolverhampton (Oct) Dudley (Nov) Walsall (March)
